This deep & gentle work helped me so much after oral surgery and subsequent headaches

“Hillary is one of the most gifted practitioners I know. Her depth of awareness, steady presence, and ability to “listen” to the body to facilitate health and healing are fantastic. One of her specialties is in working with not only the cranium, but also the brain… this deep and gentle work helped me so much in my recovery after oral surgery and with subsequent headaches. If you are looking for a provider who will work WITH your body to help facilitate your health and wholeness, I can’t recommend Hillary highly enough.”

Q&A

Emphasis is on the regular rhythm and output of your craniosacral system– a fluid‑based, fascial system surrounding your brain and spinal cord. The touch work is performed with the client fully clothed, guided by this fluid movement pattern in perpetual motion, and evolves over time. For persistent issues like jaw clenching, headache, migraine, and various syndromes, my goal is to help you calm your nerves so your stimuli doesn’t always register as pain, or overwhelm, or a need to hold onto tension, etc. Maybe we can help directly to remove undue physical pressure with manual therapy techniques, and maybe we can help change your relationship with the distress. The number of sessions it will take varies greatly. A dreamy, relaxed state is often described afterwards. Craniosacral therapy is becoming more trusted as a precise yet low-intervention treatment of the nervous system, and a low-risk choice for complex conditions where positive results have eluded a person in the past.

If you’ve experienced a major brain event in the past 6 months I will need written guidance from your physician. This includes brain injury, head/neck fracture, vascular issues, CSF leak or suspected leak. Support sessions may still be suitable with important technique alteration. It is beyond my scope to work with urgent health and mental health conditions.
