What To Expect

For your sessions with Hillary:

  • Your session will be a customized-to-you blend of craniosacral techniques and mindbody awareness. I will spend time getting to know you and your goals.
  • In-person visits are usually 1 hour. You’ll typically get 50 minutes of hands-on time at the massage table.
  • You’ll remain clothed, with the exception of shoes, and you’ll be asked to lie on your back on top of the massage table sheets. There won’t be any lotions, oils, or fragrances applied to you.
  • Using gentle holds or a slight traction of the tissues, my touch tends toward the simple stimulus for longer periods of time– typically at the head, neck, and along your spine, sacrum.
  • Direct skin contact is not required. Wear clothing that you find to be comfortable, ideally something that allows a full natural breath below the navel. (No stiff jeans, stiff collars, or bulky hoodies, please.) Please refrain from wearing fragrances.
  • We can discuss the arc of treatment and pacing you’re looking for. Maximum of 1 session per week per client.
  • It is easiest to book your next session with me directly at the end of your appointment time.
  • $165 per session.
  • HSA/FSA accepted. I do not work with any insurance companies.

Client Questions

There is free non-metered street parking.
Plan to arrive on time for your appointment. I tend to be very punctual.

Please refrain from using fragrances, scented products, alcohol, or recreationals before your sessions. Some people use sessions as a regular relaxation and preventative care measure, so I encourage you to do whatever you might do beforehand to help: take a walk, write in a journal, meditate, etc. You are welcome to bring your own items for extra comfort on the table (fuzzy socks, stuffed animal, shawl, or extra layer).

If you arrive after the start of the session time that’s been reserved for you, we’ll use whatever amount of time we have left in the session. Appointment time is not extended for late arrivals.

People notice their sessions texture their perception in new and different ways, so it’s best not to stack appointments after (if you can). This is more important in the first 4 sessions or so as you are noticing and exploring how you respond to the sessions. My most frequent aftercare recommendation is to walk around a little before getting back to your day and drink a little more water than you usually do. I also encourage listening more closely to your body~wisdom; take time to be thoughtful and slower paced rather than go about your day automatically. If you feel inclined to (and you can) do something for yourself led by your body~wisdom, please do.

I have a no gratuity policy. I like the clarity around how much my service actually costs.
(If you’re happy with your session feel free to say good things about me in public.)

If you didn’t schedule at the end of your appointment time, send a text anytime to get back on the calendar. 619‑929‑0772

My cancellation policy is the standard 24 hours’ notice. This gives me adequate time to fill your spot. Kindly please notify me to reschedule as soon as you are feeling unwell —or if someone in your household is sick— or if you’ve had a suspected recent exposure or positive test result.

Appointment reminders are given as a courtesy. Any changes to your appointment with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a late-cancel fee of 50% of the session fee. With changes of less than 2 hours notice or missed appointments, the late-cancel fee is 100% of the session fee. This fee is waived for illness and medical precaution.

I ask every client to be conscientious in starting and ending each session on time. This includes calculating and allowing for road traffic en route. Late arrivals will not receive an extension in service time and you will be charged the full session fee.

I hold credit card information as part of my cancellation policy. You may choose your method of payment; you are not obligated to use the credit card on file. Other forms of payment include check, cash, Venmo, PayPal, and HSA/FSA card. Your credit card on file will not be billed unless there is a cancellation fee (see cancellation fees below).

Session fee
The cost is $165 per 1-hr session.

Late-Cancel fees
• 50% of the full session fee for any changes with less than 24 hrs notice.
• 100% of the full session fee for any changes with less than 2 hrs notice and missed appointments.
If you are chronically ill and might need to reschedule at the last minute, let me know and we can discuss.

Do you have a reduced session fee?
I offer a limited number of low fee/no fee spots to individuals with less access to wealth and resource. Please inquire during our initial phone conversation.

We love pets, but unfortunately, they aren’t allowed in the building. That said, service dogs are always welcome. If you need to bring your pet or support animal, please reach out ahead of time so I can work on making the necessary arrangements for you.
