Touch + mindful attention to explore inner relationship.

“Being witnessed, in a way where all parts of you have more breathing room, helps you understand your whole self better, and in turn, that core connection is a gift to those around you.” -Hillary Tinapple

Body awareness and interoceptive skills training

We cope with distress by avoiding the signals in our bodies

For those ready to enhance body awareness, we create a safe, supportive environment to counteract old coping strategies, and instead, to notice and allow inner body signals to arise.

Our focus is on the here‑and‑now. Not analyzing what happened in the past. This approach supports gradual changes in nervous system function, body awareness, and how you manage challenges.

Results of increased interoceptive (inner body) awareness

Mindfulness, touch, and dialogue, when combined to teach inner body awareness, have been extensively studied with promising results. Research shows these practices increase self‑trust, self‑compassion, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation.

Clinical trials also show positive effects in reducing pain and reliance on addictive coping behavior. This makes the approach suitable for individuals with chronic conditions or those recovering from significant events.

How I bring these practices together

For over 12 years in craniosacral private practice, I have worked with individuals facing complex conditions, exploring the mindbody connection and emphasizing empowerment. My current interest is helping clients who intentionally want to build greater capacity for whole‑human‑beingness in their daily lives.

In my sessions, I use body‑focused exercises and mindful check‑ins to help clients connect with their internal signals. I also provide opportunities for take‑home practice. My goal is to offer a science‑based, incremental, and customized treatment strategy that helps clients consciously develop a sense of their body as not just a receiver of touch, but as a meaningful connection and positive resource.
